MEMPHIS – Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) contract crews will begin emergency repairs on the I-40 Hernando DeSoto Bridge over the Mississippi River after a routine inspection uncovered a crack in the bottom side of the bridge truss. For the motoring public's safety, the bridge will be entirely shut down while crews investigate the crack's extent further and then repair the problem, which could take some time.

Tennessee Department of Transportation contract crews will temporarily close I-65 in the northbound direction in Nashville at the Wedgewood Avenue bridge to make repairs this weekend.

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee and Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner Clay Bright today released TDOT’s annual three-year transportation program, featuring approximately $2.6 billion in infrastructure investments for 68 individual project phases in 45 counties across the state. The program supports Gov. Lee’s first Executive Order by funding work on 58 highway and bridge projects in economically distressed and at-risk counties.
NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Transportation is joining states across the nation to ask motorists to Work with Us – move over and slow down for highway workers. TDOT will spread that message statewide during National Work Zone Awareness Week (April 26-30) to improve safety in Tennessee’s interstate and highway construction and maintenance work zones.
